These guys go up to girls they don’t know, begin touching them in a really intimate manner without the girls’ permission, from behind (which, as many girls in the video point out, means they can’t see who is touching them), and then try to get the girls’ numbers. Most of the girls are visibly scared when first touched by the guys, gasping or saying “oh my god.” One guy even straddles a girl (1:39). The guys don’t ever ask if they can have the girls’ numbers, but say things like “so, I’m going to get your number.” You can also see some of the girls visibly do not want to give their numbers and hesitate (1:18), but do so anyways. The girls who do ask them to stop say things in timid voices like, “Do you mind stopping? Thank you” (2:24). Thank you.

At the end, as the finale to all these “funny” clips, they show a clip of a girl who is very freaked out by the guy. So much so, that she calls over two random guys to help her because she doesn’t know what to do (3:01). Note she says sorry to the guy (3:10). This guy touches her inappropriately without her permission, she has enough sense to do something about it, and then apologizes to the guy after she does nothing wrong.

This is motherfucking rape culture. When two rapists get more sympathy than their victim despite both of them being sick little fucks who videoed the rape, put it online and urinated on their victim. Like hell would I be saying anything pleasant about those boys. If that were my son, I wouldn’t even be able to say anything pleasant about them.

A professor pointed this out in a class a few years ago. Upon him asking the men of the class what they would do if they had a family member or good friend who had been raped, many (but not all) of them said that they would be out there trying to find the mother f****er to kill or beat the crap out of them. He then asked, “So, what about the victim; your first instinct isn’t to be there for them? You don’t take them to the hospital or call the police?” We all sat there in a stunned silence.

I don’t see how anyone can have any sympathy for these boys when the entire Football team has been known as “The Rape Crew” at Steubenville High School for at least 2 years. You don’t get a reputation like that from one incident, no matter how terrible. There are other victims out there and these two boys are not the only attackers on the team.
